Not exactly the end, but the movie titled "End of Evangelion". If you ever watch that anime - which I belive is one of the best anime films around - cover your eyes for the first 5 minutes.

Eh? Those seem to be very popular fandoms for fanfiction... I'm suddenly glad I've never read one of those stories.

Seriously. What kind of sick people would make such dreck and call it entertainment? I like my explosions and Mystical Blades of Evil's Bane fine, thank you very much.

I don't think being a "sick person" would have anything to do with it. There's a whole world out there besides Goku doing genki-dama, so why can't anime be about those things? I don't see anything wrong in being open minded. Of course, anime is one thing, real life is another, so I wouldn't recomend the acts shown in such anime, as much as I wouldn't recomend someone to grab a gun and shoot everyone around as in "Cowboy Bebop" or "Furi Kuri" or "Lupin Sansei".

There's such a thing as being too open minded, Ric. Besides, DragonBall Z has been over for years; I'm waiting on Naruto.

I agree, but how open is one's mind is the point. To me, I don't mind anything that dosen't harm or hurt other people. If it dosen't hurt anyone else, it's ok by me.

I don't know about you guys, but I miss the classic Nicktoons:

Rocko's Modern Life
The Angry Beavers
Ren and Stimpy
Invader Zim!! (not really considered classic, but who cares?)

I also miss Pinky and the Brain and Animaniacs, cuz those had a bunch of grown-up jokes that I didn't get when I was little but are totally hilarious now!

i totally miss pinky and the brain. I really think that they should have had their own series cause that was just too kewl of a show. Animaniacs had its moments but certain parts of the show bored me. I did like the "Hellooooooooo nurse" running joke.

I liked Animaniacs, the episode where they spoof "Duck Soup". Well, they spoof the Marx brothers on every episode anyway...

They did. I remember an episode in which Brain was getting a job in an office so he could pretend he turned into a mouse in a job accident and sue for the money. He was in the job interview, and his boss told him about the sexual harassment conduct: "All you have to do is make sure you don't have any contact with anyone." - To which Brain replied: "My goal in life."

Are you sure they showed it on Nick? It was a WB cartoon after all and most of them went to CN for syndication.

They showed Pinky and the Brain AND Animaniacs on Nick for a while, after WB stopped showing them. Their reason for this, I don't know. At least Nick never had to deal with Pokemon.

I remember because Nick inserted the bright orange Nickelodeon logo into some of the Themesong animation.
