Before digital recording was so easy and accessible some bands used to record their demos onto vhs tape because while it wasn’t as good sounding as professional audio tape it was better and more durable than an audio cassette for storing the master then you could just make your audio cassettes for distribution off of that.

Early Beta Hi-Fi decks were marketed as an alternative to reel to reel for a while.

As others have mentioned, this is the “Terrible DVD/Blu-ray Cover Art” thread, not the “Awesome Vinyl Cover Art!” thread.

^ It’s possibly a screengrab from John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ showing Matthau in the process of absorbing and replicating Lemmon.

the art itself isn’t horrible, but why just lazily slap the logo on top of it?

And why use the T-rex logo for III instead of the movie’s actual spinosaurus logo?

I’m still bummed the new one isn’t called The Lost Park: Jurassic World.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

The Lost Park was already taken by Ray Park’s voice.
