I think the most likely thing with Tarkin is he will just be some important officer and/or body guard for Palptine and gets rewarded. Or maybe SPOILERS
















Tarkin helps Anakin save Palptine when he is kidnapped, maybe he was the head of the Coruscant Fire Department or something.

Reminds me of a post-Phantom Menace crazy theory, that claimed that Jar Jar was Bobba Fett. This was before Jango was announced, obviously.

Ah, it's a nod to one of the great underrated TV series ever... "What's Happening!!"

Reverse one of the Jars in Jar Jar and you've got Raj which was the abbreviated form of the fullname of the main character Roger. And the doubling up of Jar Jar is GL's way of paying homage to the name "Rerun".

There is no way Tarkin could be Jar Jar's alias, it doesn't make sense. Leia may have been able to stand up to hours under that mind probe, but if Tarkin had put on that suit and just repeated "Meesa Jar Jar! Meesa Jar Jar" for half an hour, she would have caved...

im not going to say whose fault i think it was, coz that was start a pointless debate in which i dont wish to participate. i love the OT and so far i love the PT as well.
