The Joker in my opinion takes an eccletic mix of oddly skinny physique and psycho mentality that very few actors could pull off effectively. Hammill does an awesome voice and acting job on the character but has no physical resemblance to Joker. I'm sure I'll be in the minority here but I could not stand Jack Nicholson as Joker! About the time of 'The Shining' Nicholson stopped *acting* in movies and started only playing himself. Jack, we get it already- now show us something we haven't seen! But instead Burton fell for the act and gave us a fat, middle-age man in clown make-up. Oh joy. Was he *bad*? Not much more than the rest of the film...

Anywho, the current rumor I've read for casting of the Joker would, I feel, be almost perfect- Crispin Glover. A thinner, more crazy actor I do not know!
