But the other side(I assume the loser of the suit) says according to the law, the amount taken should go up to 25% of the $307,000. 25% of $307,000 is $76,750. $108,000 - $76,750 = $31,250. Therefore the loser in the suit would pay $307,000 + $31,250 which comes to a total of $338,250.
