The gun Rey used in Takodana was one of the most toy-y guns yet in the Star Wars saga in my opinion… the royalty ones that Padmé used in TPM looked like something that came out of a James Bond movie.
Have a hard time agreeing with either of those statements.
We’ll have to agree to disagree, then! Rey’s gun looked nice and different, and I really liked its design. I just think it was a bit too toy like.
It could just be the prop itself. They probably 3D printet Rey’s blaster (and all the ST blasters), whereas the OT props were usually made from real gun parts.
Not sure about Padme’s blaster though. It might have been made from real metal at the very least.
