I would love 2 C "Isolated Score" versions of the Indiana Jones movies. Especially Raiders. That movie has some of the best music I've ever heard.

Well.............

There is no reason perfect isolated score, I can cut out one of the 5.1 channels and strip alot of the music from the movies that way, but it might include special effects, some voice, and it will be a mono track.

I believe all of the actual score has been released. What isn't common is the full "Well of the Souls" music which was on a double vinyl rerelease only. (It was left off the CD because the CD only holds 74 mins of audio & this would have pushed it above that.)

The only "music" I can think of that U would have 2 rip from the DVD is the Egyptian's beautiful singing while digging 4 the ark & singing on the wharf. And Sallah singing Gilbert & Sullivan. And some windchimes when the monkey dies?

I think this really is for another project

I have the "5th" DVD from the set (that was only available with puchases at Best Buy).

It's a 10 minute classic featurette. I can rip that if you want it.

Tell me when your done ripping/encoding, so we can sort how you will upload it to me.

Thanks again, look forward watching it.

The unreleased music for Raiders was "released" by me. There are a bunch of cues not included in the 1 cd release.

I also want to be a part of a DVD collection that will preserve based on quality, not quantity. And from what I've been hearing, nothing is making me feel confident that this set will be more about quality. Sorry.

Hey guys and gals, I am going to be away until Wednesday starting tommorow.

Just wanted to tell you so you dont think I am like bailing out of the project.

Updates are:

-Will be getting the awesome 5th Best Buy disk this week

-Baby hum said he will send me the docs this week

-Finished editing Malcolm In The Middle and The Muppets parodies

I share the same concerns with digitalfreaknyc about quality over quantity. When you get the docs (which are perhaps the most important thing on this to me) and if they don't fit on a single DVD, then don't feel pressured to compress them to fit. Feel free to use as many discs as you need to in order to preserve the quality of them. I can't say I care much for the parodies, but vintage interviews, tv spots, and some other tv specials (not sure exactly what you have) would be really cool to see.

Anyway, good luck with the project. I really appreciate that you're doing this since I've been hoping someone would once I saw people putting out SW related programs.

By the way, are these going to be single or dual layer discs?

I don't understand why they're not single discs themselves anyway. All the individual documentaries are 45-50 minutes themselves. That would be perfect for itself and maybe one other extra. That's what I've done on mine. To be honest, I'd be more than happy to upload both the documentaries for Raiders and Last Crusade right now...AND they don't have the Japanese subtitles as well. Just let me know. Thus far, I haven't heard of anything that's "new" or interesting that will be a part of this project and again, I'm very concerned about Indy3's skills and intent (no offense). I would hope someone would check this before they're torrented. And to be honest, I don't understand why we're putting "skits" from TV shows on this anyway. There have been a thousand shows making fun of star wars and Indiana Jones. All most people care about is actual footage from the movies and/or including actors.

Please do! All I'm interested in are the documentaries. It would be great if you could put them up as a torrent on either myspleen or the pirate bay.

I have to agree with digitalfreaknyc, one doc per DVD at the best quality (ala Babyhum) would be fantastic. If Indy3 wants to do a disc of skits and parodies as well, fine, but I'm really interested in the docs - I have Raiders from when it was a bonus LD feature with the Indiana Jones trilogy, but I wasn't happy with my first capture and have been snowed under with other jobs since.

Well then let's do it. My current copies are all done with pcm soundtracks and I think that might not be the best way to present them as the two raiders are mono. Should I just re-do them with ac3 and a greater bit rate for video? The one thing I'd need is for someone to do menus. Someone who's good at them...raise your hand and i'll get copies to you.

Just for everyones info. I'm sending Indy3 my documentary captures this week for inclusion on his project.

BUT, I am planning to release the discs myself as single discs with a few small extras on each. That is as soon as I get to grips with DVD-Lab Pro after abandoning Sony DVD Architect (WARNING: Sony's program does not produce 100% compatible DVD's. I am having to reauthor bh007 and bh008 after discovering some people had problems with the original releases).

Babyhum,
What's the point of having various versions of things out there? I don't get it. Plus yours are all made with Japanese subtitles and mine are not. Both laserdiscs. I just think it's more confusing and annoying to have so many sources out there. Makes it confusing.

The point is, if I want to release it, I will. You dont HAVE to download it. Everybody has the choice to download discs or not. I don't download every Star Wars disc available on myspleen. How many versions of the original trilogy are there available? Do you PM every single creator of each set to tell them it's getting confusing? If you do, then I apologise. I'm giving people the choice. I'm looking forward to seeing your transfers. I hope they're better quality than mine so I don't need to release mine. And to avoid confusion, I'll clearly mark the two documentaries that do have Japanese subtitles. The two reasons I release the Japanese versions are a) They are substantially better LD's in quality to the US versions and b) perhaps there are Japanese readers of this forum who wouldn't mind getting hold of a DVD with subtitles, burnt in or not.

I agree it could get confusing, but I'm sure everybody here is intelligent enough to distinguish between releases.

Well, I am back.

Instead of arguing about each other's versions.

Why dont you to guys post screengrabs of your version, to really show if one is really better than the other?

So instead of people downloading seperate projects, I am trying to compile as much Indiana Jones goodness and with the help of you guys and anyone else, this can be the true Holy Grail for Indiana Jones fans.

I also have a promoter of this project when its finished.

Indy3,
There's no argument here. Or competition to see whose version is better. I don't see any problem in there being more than one version of these docs on the scene. There are countless versions of the OT in existence, 3 or 4 Holiday specials, and countless other multiple versions. I look forward to seeing your project, but as I said before, it's not a competition.

That sounds cool, I'd like to look at that. If it's good, then will of course add it.
