Last Movie Not Seen

Author

 (Edited)

Thread repurposed: this thread is now about reviewing movies you’ve never seen!

Did you make plans to see a movie and then your plans fell through?

Did you have a movie playing and you fell asleep in the first five minutes?

Were you at the theatre with your little one who, during the previews, vomited over her and your clothes, so you had to leave to get changed and didn’t bother to return to the theatre?

Tell us about your experience and what movie you didn’t see.

I’ve yet to see rogue one all the way through because I’ve fallen asleep both times I’ve tried to watch it. I’m not saying the movie is so boring it put me to sleep or anything like that, what I saw I thought was okay, but outside circumstances had rendered me sleepy both times I tried coupled with the fact that this one didn’t resonate with me as much as the others. (I made it to at least the midpoint both times and I saw the ending both times but I missed at least part of the middle both times)

I have never seen Captain America winter soldier for the same reason. I slept through large parts of it both times I have tried watching it.

Except for me, it was because I found it uninteresting and long.

Wanted to see Dunkirk, Atomic Blonde, and Baby Driver. Some others too but damn. Really wanted to see them in cinemas.

What Happened to Monday (2017)

A weird mix of a film. At times it felt like Gattica, at times The Matrix, at times Minority report, at times a low budget tv movie, at times an impressive CGI sci-fi flick. Noomi Rapace is great, Willem Dafoe is fine, Glenn Close is ridiculous. A surprising amount of violence. Near the end I completely lost track of one of the sisters and I still don’t know how she ended up where she did at the end (apparently it was Thursday, which I only learned by reading the Wiki plot summary).

It’s also striking how unfair Hollywood is to women. I mean, it’s obvious anyway, but watching Catcher’s-Mitt-for-a-Face Dafoe in the same movie as Had-to-Have-Plastic-Surgery Close is something else.

Correct. Clearly the thread is about the last movie (singular) not seen, not several. RayRogers, you keep this up and I’ll mail you a cold fish for Christmas!

Um…this is the “Last Movie Not Seen” thread. I think it’s pretty clear you actually did see this movie. 49 lashes with a wet noodle for you!

I’ll give you 20 bucks to forget to wet the noodle, The Green Mile style.

Ugh I’m so sober I misread the thread title.

I was watching Solaris rather late last night and, while I was thoroughly enjoying it, I went to bed at the conveniently placed intermission.

My brother was watching The Goonies, which I haven’t watched in a couple of years. Whilst watching it, I realised how lame it really was (still fun though) and went to go read a book.

Not enough people read the EU.

Of course it was lame, that’s what makes it so good.

I mean it’s not that good, but still.

Eclipse (2010). I started watching, made it a few minutes in, and fell asleep. I didn’t watch the movie or do my homework. 😦

The Shape of Water

I hate it! It’s such a boring documentary on fluid dynamics.

That’s weird, I was listening to the new Keep It podcast and they kept saying it was about a woman who wanted to fuck a fish.

Sorry for the language but that’s a direct quote.

Hope is something you wish will happen for the greater good and benefit others more than yourself. I.e something that will have a greater impact than just hope you passed an exam that is not really “hope” that is personal ambition.

I am glad i never went to see this.

Only believe the sun when you see it? Hmmmmm…

This is totally stupid at least my opinion. I will only believe a star when i see it snarf snarf (thundercats) yes this is complete stupidity.

And this bloke got given a whole trilogy as in 3 more films with this sort of dialogue… HA HA HA HA.

Amazing the stupidness is.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Complete disappointment.

I can’t believe how desperate they were in trying to be cool with this film. Iron man? Also i heard that they talk about porn a lot in this. Isn’t this supposed to be a kid’s movie? Also, i can’t keep straight each spider man looks different from the last one. Isn’t this like the 5th installment, and yet he is younger than ever? Benjamin button much?

I almost thought I was in the real movie thread for a second.
