Pretty sure they used the same recording of the main theme for TFA and TLJ.
I thought it sounded completely different as TFA sounded so hollow and weird and TLJ did not that much.
Yeah, when I watched TFA I thought the theme was really weak. So much so that I feared something had gone wrong with the sound between the trailers and the actual movie.
