I’ve just uploaded a new 9GB release of Dunkirk to the same place as usual. All those interested in knowing where, send me a PM.

This V2 release has had a bit of warmth reintroduced compared to the previous release to remove the slightly cold edge the colours had before and make the colours warmer and more appealing overall. Here are some screencap comparisons for this new V2 release:

I sent you a PM (private topic, right?), waiting for answer!

Thank you!

Wow! Fantastic work! Although I suspect the original tint was intended to instill a kind of foreboding and an overall gloomy feeling, it missed it’s mark completely. Just looks yellow. Thanks for the improvement! Sent a PM…

Wow, that hint of warm-ness really makes a difference compared to V1. Looks fantastic!

There was definitely no yellow tint on the regular (as opposed to IMAX) 70mm screening I saw, in fact I remember thinking it looked a bit cold - that it might have had a slight cyan tint. Was it there on digital theatrical screenings?

It was where i watched it. Didn’t give it too much notice at the time as i was concentrating on the film, but i do remember thinking the colors were a bit ‘off’.

there’s the trailer which has better colours than the blu-ray. maybe it can be useful as a kind of template for regrading.

here are some images as comparison (BD vs ProRes trailer)

I sent a pm a while back on the new spot back in mid December, never got a response .

All my life as I looked away to the future, to the horizon. Never in my mind did I know where I was, what I was doing.

Loved this regraded version as well! I much prefer natural colours to the enhanced ‘feel’ of the colour grading a lot of films get. Thanks kk650 😃

Any hints on how to mux this for Blu ray burning? I have tried multiple times with some of the other projects and if I use Tsmuxer, I get sound but no video. Thanks.

I use tsmuxer as well.

If you play the .mts file on your computer you won’t hear any audio. If you burn it to a blu ray and play it in your blu ray player the sound should work fine. This has been my experience anyway.

I can play the muxed iso on my laptop with video and audio, however burn it to a disc and play in my Ps3, no video and just audio. I did some extensive searching, but have not found a definitive answer.

I remember converting some of my releases to blu-ray playable versions a few years back and I had similar problems with no video appearing, I believe I resolved the problem by changing the profile of the video to 4.1 in a certain program I can’t remember to make the video blu-ray compatible. Hope that helps. I’ve been using my pc/laptop to stream my releases to my TV for many years now so I haven’t needed to do this process for a long time.

I’ve just uploaded a new 23GB release of Dunkirk V2 with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio to the same place as usual.

If the 9GB version was as brilliant as it was, I can’t wait to get my hands on the 23GB one! 😄

Thanks; I will check into that. Tsmuxer does have that option, so I will see.

You didn’t remove any tints. You simply replaced a yellow one with a purple one…
