Arguably, the Han Solo movie will have bigger name recognition with causal and non fans than Rogue One did. Everybody knows Han and Chewie.

But also Harrison Ford is Han Solo to everyone, so I’m not sure how much the public is interested to see a young Solo movie. Even I couldn’t care less about the film but will see it because Star Wars. Hopefully it would be so good that I can see pass the new faces.

He’s also Indiana Jones, but four other actors have played younger or older versions of Indy.

And no-one cared about them.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

And other than River Phoenix I couldn’t come up with one or even conjure up the stolen data tapes.

WYCHS

I don’t know what that means. Can you spell it out for an obtuse man such as me?

Lucas recut all of the Young Indy series and consigned Really Old Indy to oblivion as well.

And River was in the same film as Harrison!

Really? I’m the only one who remembers Sean Patrick Flannery? He could very well play middle aged Indy unless they’re already measuring Alden Ehrenreich for a leather jacket.

Not really excited about Indiana Jones and the Curse Of The Broken Hip though.

I remember him from Boondock Saints and Hackers.
Is that the same guy?
He got fat in Boondock Saints 2 and didn’t even look like himself.

Actors do sometimes fatten up to play a part.

TLJ crossed $600 million domestic this weekend. And among the Disney accountants there was much rejoicing.

And Jumanji seems to be an unstoppable juggernaut. Not even a patriotic war movie could unseat it this weekend. Sony is probably lining up twenty sequels as we speak.

A movie about people trapped in and forced to play a game is making a ton of money? I hope someone is dusting the Tron 3 scripts off right now.

Let’s hope! : )

I think it’s more the cast than nostalgia for the other movie.

So, we need The Rock to be in Episode IX? 😛

It won’t get much higher now. It’s a very good BO score, but there is a trend that each second installment of each SW trilogy makes quite less than the first one.

Not only in SW.

Is it a rule across the board? The Dark Knight did much better than Batman Begins for instance.

Author

Of course it’s not a rule, but it’s certainly not exclusive to SW and it’s certainly not uncommon.

Author

In fact, one of the tests to know if your rule is a real ‘rule’ is that there has to be exceptions to it.

Author

Ya know, I went right to the exception! Interesting.

TLJ made it to top9 worldwide and I don’t think it moves up anymore. Pretty good.

I seriously doubt Solo will pass one billion. But we’ll see after a few months!
