What are we to make of the fact Rey and Kylo are still have the mental link even though Snoke was enabling it and is mostly dead now?
Exactly.
Several opinions i hold, until we finally get an explanation (assuming it gets flushed out more in IX)
- Luke was connecting them, evidenced by the dice that luke ‘brought’ still being around until just then.
- The connection between Rey and Kylo wasn’t really all Snoke like he claimed (typical dark sider claiming more influence then they actually have). Maybe Snoke just put the pieces in place (Kylo’s conflicted state) to help a bridge get formed, but he didn’t actually create the bridge.
