I also bought something for my wife, a new screen for her smartphone. It could have been worse, she could have dropped IN the toilet instead of next to it, but still…

Just ordered the Complete Sopranos on Blu-Ray (on sale on Amazon for $50!).

I’ve streamed the first season on Prime, but HBO is supposedly not renewing it’s deal with AMZ and will be pulling its shows from Prime once it expires in May, and no way I’ll be finishing the whole series by then.

A new pooper scooper.

Because my cats take giant shits that broke the one I bought when I got them a month ago.

Helmet liner. Gave it a test ride Sunday with temps in the 40s. Helped add a bit of warmth, so I know it will be even better in the spring. Had one many years ago and it made a difference in the summer as well, helping wick away sweat.

What a coincidence, I also grabbed a Criterion Blu-ray yesterday.

Also got the soundtrack to Amadeus, and Blu-rays of All About Eve, Christine, and Malcolm X. All bought on gift card money accumulated over the past two years.

I have an unspent $25 Amazon gift card from Christmas that I haven’t decided what to get with.

TLJ Blu?

Nah it will probably ruin his life just by existing.

Well then it’ll make no difference to him if he buys it. Why not buy one and destroy it to decrease the movie’s chances of surviving in the anthropological record?

A fruitless endeavor, for what is one copy of that piece of sh… nah, I love TLJ too much to even finish that nihilistic sentence ironically.

I would pre-order TLJ, but then I’ll regret it because “But I should’ve bought the 4K to future-proof it!” so I’ll save that mental debate for the actual release date and just pick it up at Walmart or something.

I don’t care much for “future proofing,” even though I have a 4K tv I doubt I’ll have a 4K player any time soon. Besides, I might as well just get the whole trilogy on that format when they inevitably do the extra special double dip box set a few years down the line.

I’m going to get the 4K. For $5 it’s worth it, especially because I’m not interested enough in special features to double dip on a boxset anyway.

But what about the 3D release?!?

Author

Yeah, the 2D ones don’t last very long, and tend to be runny.

This is the only Criterion BD I own, actually. I love this movie, and figured I needed to upgrade from my highly edited, no special features DVD to as extended a version as possible!

In fact, I found this little treasure underneath a big dubbleyah!
