Meant to share this before last week:
Just finished my rewatch of Iron Man (2008).
It’s been a long while since I last revisited the film that started it all. The break was a good one, this is a solid film that still holds up today. It’s funny to realize how much has happened in the last 10 years. The state of cellphone technology, dated social media network references, the scale of fight scenes. The big end battle was such a revelation at the time but is quite a small engagement by today’s standards. The earlier anti-terrorist fights however are still brilliant. Overall, excellent film that started the ball rolling with important character development that has continued on and throughout the rest of the MCU.
