Star Wars’s is certainly the least offensive. But it’s still just a stack of disembodied heads. The original Star Wars artwork was gorgeous (both theatrical posters). The colors on the ROTJ SE poster are downright gross. The Emperor looks like shit on the TESB poster.
I have the SW one framed (I think the faces were very well done), though I agree that the composition wasn’t as interesting as some of his other posters. I don’t care for the other 2 as much, but I like how the three posters “connect” when they’re displayed in a row, and how the luke/vader portion of the rotj poster is kind of a nod to his original “red” rotj poster (which was a great poster).
The '78 “circus” poster is still my all-time favorite, though.
