Lol ok.
Watched again in preparation for TLJ. Definitely a bit rehashy (especially the control room scene where they make their plans to attack Starkiller Base - that’s a bad scene, no two ways about it), but overall still an excellent Star Wars movie. Once again, I simply cannot understand how anyone could rate a prequel above it…especially if they’ve actually seen a prequel recently. TFA feels like a Star Wars movie, from the characters to the look, it’s Star Wars. The prequels feel like an entirely different franchise, one that probably would have been cancelled after the first (and absolutely after the second).

Like Padme going from being creeped out by Anaking to immediately falling in love?
Like Anakin going from being a Jedi to immediately betraying the galaxy on some bizarre hope that the Dark Side can save his wife, then immediately turning and asking what he’s done, then immediately going full evil two seconds later?
Like the Jedi all being idiots and having no clue about Palpatine being Sidious?
Character flaws yes, realistic no.

I love dancing around with glowsticks! Jumping around in a lava river like space Frogger! The most powerful interesting character from ESB reduced to a short green videogame blur! The most powerful force users even using a lightsaber in the first place!

Yeah the space senate scenes were really overflowing with tension and drama.
