Well in theory the Force is something you just need to have faith in. Luke didn’t even know what it was while Rey had this grand idea of it in her mind already. She moved a few rocks, because she heard that was a thing. I don’t think anything she did came naturally, it was more imitation. As for the battles, I’d have to rewatch but it seemed with Luke he was old and without any Force connections, and in the throne room they were struggling by the end and had to work together.
