The Chronicles of Riddick has a killer ending... If you've not seen it I won't spoil it for you.

Let's just say you probably won't see it coming till Riddick sits down...

My favorite movie ending of all times has to be the original Planet of the Apes. "Damn you, God damn you all to hell." I love endings like that.

My second favorite ending is Terminator 3 Rise of the Machine ending. "Maybe the future has been writen I don't know all I know is never keep fighting and I never never will. The battle has just begun"

Third has to be Dumb and Dumber. "You are in luck. Theres a town about two miles that way I am sure you will find two guys over there"

I think my favorite ending is the one from my favorite movie Casablanca. But the ending of the original Planet of the Apes is definitely a great one.

True Tim Burtons Planet of the Apes ending was surprising but only because you didn't think they could stoop that low.

Tim Burton should be shot for remaking a classic. Remaking a classic should be outlawed!

Heh heh. Have to agree on that one.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that you are a fan of the original Apes, Jimbo. Kudos to you on that call. Great friggin' flick.

Or along that same theme... anyplace you go in LA and Hollywood having a perfect view of the HOLLYWOOD sign up in the Hills. Do you know how tough it is to get a good view of the sign?

So true

The last time I was in LA (which was about 10 years ago) I saw the Hollywood sign, but I didn't belive my parents when they told me what it was because it was too small.

I had so much trouble seeing that damn sign when I was there in June. Couldn't get a real clear view of it from Sunset. Driving closer made it a bit easier once you get around some of the building and billboard obstructions. Hell, we even drove up into the hills and it's so tight maneuvering in there that you never really get a chance to see it that way either. Best view we got of it was from a postcard.

How about this one, it is in nearly every movie. (I didn't read every page, so u might have already said it)

All the main/important "good guys" survive in the end.

It almost always happens. I realized this when the last three movies I saw had deaths. *SPOILER* The Notebook, Cold Mountain
I just hate stupid people.

true but I like having my good guys survive. If they died it would make the movie sad.

would the OT have been as good If Luke, and/or Han, and/or Leia had died?

Luke could have died

Harrison Ford beged Lucas for Han to die but George refused. Personally I think George should have listened. The death of a major character would have been a huge plus to a movie that was way way to light hearted.

That would have been an interesting ending. Would've hated it as a kid, I'm sure. But, as you age, you mature (ideally) and I think I would have respected that sort of plot move as I got older and even liked it. I like the idea now. May have also pushed Lucas to do episodes 7-9 right away because an event like that would need some sort of follow up in terms of retribution. We may have actually had all nine films by this time had that happened.

Hmm...

It was originally planned for Lando to die but George changed his mind. I also think this would have been a good idea.

I don't think Lando dying would have the desired effect. Yes, he was more major a character than most, but not enough in fans' minds to really evoke too much emotion. Han being killed and then Lando and Chewie hunting down his killers in episode 7 would have been much better.

Star Wars - Episode VII: Lando Gets Medieval

Seriously, though, this would've cemented Lando as a much more important character in the series. As it stands, I really feel no emotional attachment to Lando the way I do to Han, Luke, Leia, R2, 3PO, and Yoda. Lando was never given that much of a chance to truly develop his character.
