Since good ol’ George replaced Shaw with Hayden, it might be plausible that force ghosts can change their apperances and limbs.
EDIT: I don’t think adding a thunk cuts it. You can’t see anything when Luke disappears other than his cloak, and that sound makes it more out of place.
