I did not think it was possible for a Star Wars movie to be worse than Attack of the Clones, but there it is.
There are like, four Star Wars movies worse than Attack of the Clones.
I only count 3 ! What’s the fourth one ?

Maybe the animated Clone Wars one?
The Rise of Failures
Oh yeah you’re right, it was the worst of the PT into one single animated feature. Epic !

Yeah, that, The Phantom Menace, Rogue One and Return of the Jedi.
Not enough people read the EU.

It’s funny you consider the worse the 3 movies that share the most in common (and almost the same script).
I’ll put aside TCW, TPM, and even to a lesser extent RO…the idea that ROTJ is worse than AOTC is one of the craziest thing I’ve ever read on this site (especially because it’s an honestly held opinion, unlike many other things said here).
I can only go as far to say that ROTJ is the weakest OT film; the second half elevates it to surpass anything done in the SW films to come after.
The Rise of Failures
ROTS and the TCW movie are the only ones I’d put below AOTC. I haven’t seen the Ewok movies, though.
I can only go as far to say that ROTJ is the weakest OT film.
Yep, weakest of the OT but the OT is still better than the other movies.
I didn’t like The Force Awakens or Rogue One. I think they are at best mediocre if not bad movies, but they are not in the terrible category. The Last Jedi is just an abomination, I can’t describe it any other way. Even the prequels look like good movies in comparison. My god, this was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

You’ve never seen Man of Steel or Batman v Superman ?

I low-key think Rogue One belongs in the terrible category, basically alongside the prequels. However much I dislike The Last Jedi, I give it some credibility simply because whether I like it or not, I’m still interested in these new characters (but at the same time disappointed because I think they don’t move forward much when I last saw them in TFA). Prequel and Rogue One characters are simply boring to watch, and leave much to desire. TFA/TLJ give me more things to think about at least.
The Rise of Failures
I’d give The Last Jedi 7.5/10, The Empire Strikes Back being a 10/10
Interesting tidbit (half mentioned in one of the ten TLJ threads) on RT…current audience score is 56%, but critic score is 93% (and top critic score is 96%).
Of the fifteen ratings given in this thread, the average is a 7.8.

The simple truth is, no matter what the fans and general audiences usually say, critics are, for the most part, a lot more trustworthy.

I’m actually surprised it’s that high.
FWIW after my second screening today, I’m raising it from 8.5 to 8.7. Somehow it felt less padded this time, which makes no sense to me but I’m gonna go with it.

Ha, I just caught up in one of the other ten TLJ threads and see someone else posted this already.
This movie has too many threads.
It’s not terribly important, but just to point out - this is the rate TLJ thread. We have another thread for ranking all the SW films.
Sorry, rating and ranking are not similar? I’m not sure, since english is not my first langauge.
Rating is a number score for a movie, like 7/10. Ranking is putting several movies in order.
Thank you.

Wow you put ROTJ below AOTC? That takes balls, I’ll give you that, especially on OT
No offense, kid, but I don’t think you know how to boil water.

Well this is one of four “official” TLJ threads…

I’ll give you that. Audiences, especially now and especially in Star Wars, because of internet mob culture, love to go with the popular opinion, and even more so if it’s negative. If their favorite YouTuber and/or enough people on Twitter say that it sucks, they’ll repeat whatever they’re told and hate it too

I’m gonna give a big fat X on that one. You may be really giving your honest opinion, but I really doubt that TLJ is that bad of a movie. I loved it, but I totally understand why people don’t like it. I don’t understand why people hate it. The Canto Bight sequence, or whatever reason it is, wasn’t enough to ruin a movie. There were a lot of positive things that came from this movie, and I feel like you’re letting small plot problems cloud your judgement and mob anger get the best of you.
Maybe I’m wrong, and I apologize if I am, but I’m incredibly skeptical when I hear people being as pissed about TLJ as you claim to be

Last Jedi is the last in my ratings.
OT >>>>> TFA > R1 > Prequels > TLJ
On first impression, I’d probably give it an 8.5 or a 9.
Last Jedi is the last in my ratings.
OT >>>>> TFA > R1 > Prequels > TLJ
I’d agree with that but just swap TFA and R1 around:
OT >>>>> R1 > TFA > Prequels > TLJ
My TLJ rating - 5/100
So many angry people lol. 5/100 is Plan 9 territory. You’re just not being rational.
