I see some discussion about the use or not of the deleted scenes. In the case of Luke building his lightsaber, I think it can be used (IF Adywan is interested, of course). Luke’s face doesn’t appear in the scene, so it is possible to rotoscope his face and upscale it to HD (720p) using a new background (again, if someone is interested in a new background). His hands building the lightsaber can be replaced by any other hands.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind if it is just the entire scene upscaled / cleaned and inserted in the movie. This is a fanedit, if George Lucas with all his money didn’t care for doing the best job in the world, why a fanedit must keep such high standards? I for sure won’t complain if a upscaled version of a deleted scene appears in a fanedit.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.
