The wreckage line, despite my best attempts, simply doesn’t sound enough like something he would say, and unless someone else is able to salvage it, it won’t be getting any better.
When The Last Jedi arrives, we’ll have twice as much material for this sort of thing, so I bet we’ll be able to cobble something together. But he only says “The Republic” once that is usable, and more problematically he almost exclusively talks in the present or future tense.
