i thought 7 seasons was universal, for all shows nowadays

Nope. Number of seasons is determined by the suits. Friends is in season 10, NYPD Blue is in 11 and will end after 12. ER is in 11. Simpsons in 14. Will and Grace in 5, I believe. It varies. Most shows would consider themselves blessed to make it to 7. I'd venture an estimation that only 10-15% of shows on TV make it to 7 seasons or more. If that.

really well, the last 5 series i have really gotten into end at seven so that is why i thought 7 was a standard

sorry that was confuseing.

The last 4 series that i have watched and really gotten into, have all end after seven seasons

I thought Seinfeld was longer than that.

Just checked IMDb and it says it was 8 seasons...

1990-1, 1991-2, 1992-3, 1993-4, 1994-5, 1995-6, 1996-7, and 1997-8. That would be 8 seasons.

You don't have to deal with her doing commercials for your local grocery store. Annoying fucking commercials at that. They get muted the second I see them.
