you can say what ever you like about me but i found some of the puppet effects detracted from the movies. thats just me. and merging in CG is messing with them too much. the extended vader obiwan duel in ANH was horrible IMO in the 2004 editions, it was too cutty.

they extended the duel in the ANH 2004 DVD edition? I didn't know that. As for the puppet effects detracting, I don't think they detract anywhere near as much as
some CGI effects do (IMHO).

no they didnt, however i thought i heard somewhere that the did. as for the puppets ditracting and hte CGI detracting, i agree they both did in some situations, its all a matter of taste and personal opinion one which one detracted more. i personally feel they detracted in equal amounts.
