On 16mm as well. There are bonus features showing them doing all the model work and studio recording. Some of the new filler footage has been recorded using old studio multi camera setups.
The new audio has been recorded with people in a single recording studio using boom mics, instead of isolated booths and fancier microphones, so that it blends better. They’ve also brought the old K9 prop out of retirement. They tried to get Dudley Simpson to do the audio, but he was too ill. Mark Ayres did a great job of emulating him, though.
So yeah, they put some effort into it!
