Despecialized: Is it possible to burn an NJVC Set with SW 2.5 instead of SW 2.7?

I’ve skimmed through both SW versions as MKVs side by side, and with all due respect to Towne32, I think I prefer the coloring of 2.5. A little less yellow here and there, just a matter of personal taste. But the NJVC feature disc is made with 2.7.

So is there a way to swap out version 2.7 from NJVC’s ISO and replace it with 2.5, since presumable the only difference would be the coloring?

I realize this is probably a dumb question, since the internal structure of NJVC’s ISO file looks way too complicated to be able to do that easily. And honestly, both 2.5 and 2.7 look great, so on a scale of one to ten importance, this probably only ranks at about a one and a half for me.

But just in case there is a (relatively) simple way to do this, I thought I’d ask.

Thanks!

Not that I know a thing about this but the file 00027 in that list is 25gb in size so I’m going to guess that is the film. Creating an m2ts file with version 2.5 with exactly the same filename that doesn’t exceed the original’s size and putting it in its place might work.

Maybe!

The only problem is, the .MKV file may or may not be encoded to Blu-ray specifications. If it is not, some players may have problems with it.

If it is BD spec, you also need to swap more than an M2TS file. You must also replace the playlist, the CLIPINF and the back up version of those two files.

Anybody have any extra thoughts or details about that?

It works. that’s how I showed him how to change his 2.5 version to 2.7. so you’re just doing the exact reverse.

2.7 and 2.5 are bluray compliant, and I rendered 2.7 with the exact same x264.exe parameters as 2.5.

edit: do this. Don’t just swap the m2ts files.
