Thanks for trying to help,but I already use quickpar and multipar often and they cannot open the par2 files.
It must be something to do with the unicode japanese characters.There are 16 par2 recovery files,total of 1.41GB and they are all reporting as damaged blocks.
They seem to come down fine and also the pars from empire have the same problem.
I tried opening them in a virtualbox with xp after installing east asian language support and they still would not open.
This is the name of one of them スター・ウォーズ　エピソード4-æ–°ãŸãªã‚‹å¸Œæœ›(å¹æ›¿ç‰ˆ)WOWOW2016.vol000+01.par2 even though it looks slightly different on this web page compared to in explorer.
I also tried renaming them to short english names but no joy!
