I’ve just uploaded a new V2 regrade of Man of Steel to the same place as usual in preparation for the Justice League theatrical release. A larger 9GB release will also be coming either today or tomorrow. All those interested in knowing where, send me a PM. Here are some screencap comparisons for those interested:

Thank you so much for your efforts… What’s the difference between this release and the V1 that you did previously?

With V1 I played it safe and only removed part of the blanket yellow tint. With this V2 release i’ve gone ahead and removed all the blanket yellow tint.

Thanks for the feedback. Spiderman: Homecoming is fine, what I have found from my experience regrading is that films that were shot on digital always have a colder/flatter feel than those shot on film when all the blanket tint is removed. I think this has something to do with the way digital cameras capture colours compared to actual film stock, where the colour/image dynamic tends to feel warmer and more contrasty. That’s why I much prefer working on films that have been shot on actual film because of that warmer/more contrasty asthetic that they have, not to mention all that natural organic film grain that I love 😃

I have been taking another look at the Man of Steel blu-ray and do have to agree that this V2 regrade feels colder than I would like. I’m very pleased with V1 and I can see why I left a lot more of the yellow in. I’m actually think there could be a blanket green tint instead of a blanket yellow tint on the blu-ray. I’m encoding a new ‘gold edition’ of Man of Steel where I have taken this different approach of removing the blanket green tint, then everybody will be able to choose which of the three versions they prefer, V1, V2 or the ‘gold edition’.

Suggestion please… When time comes for the “Gold” edition, can you please post screen shots comparisons of all of the available versions together so that each person can decide for themselves?

Regardless, as always, I want to personally thank you for making moving more enjoyable.

The Gold Edition has been scrapped because after jumping to different scenes throughout the film, I felt that it was making Man of Steel look too much like 300 with its golden filter. It works in 300 because it is set in the distant past but doesn’t work as well in contemporary times IMHO. It also creates a colour continuety issue with my regraded releases of Batman V Superman and Wonder Woman, where I removed the blanket yellow tints on their respective blu-rays. The original release and V2 are the ones I will be sticking with.

If you want to see the difference between V1 and V2, you can see V1 screencaps taken from the same shots here(taken from the kk650 miscellaneous regraded films thread):

If you’re refering to the Gold Edition, I decided to scrap that release. I explain why in the post above. If you’re refering to V2, for now yes. That can change of course if the V2 release becomes more popular than it currently is right now. V1 of course already has a 22gb release on Myspleen.

I have V1 from the TehParadox days and it is my go to version for Man of Steel. I can’t watch the blu-ray or my iTunes copy anymore because of how dim and yellow/greenish it appears. Similar to Logan, the regrade brings out details not seen before and really highlights the red of the cape too and adds so much more to the viewing experience of the film.

What KK did for both films is truly amazing he should be hired for the home entertainment industry

Thank you guys, appreciated! I have added the original V1 release as well as a torrent, I think that that is the one that I am most happy with, I struck a really good balance of colours there IMHO.

Hi! I am looking for the download of Man of Steel regraded. I just discovered it yesterday, and I could not find any torrent site that has it. I’ve been looking for one for many months now, not knowing that it needs the “regraded” label for it to appear on Google search. I am kinda desperate to have a copy of one since it is one of my favorite films, but its original color grading dampened my enthusiasm for the film as time passed.

Please reply to me asap. I’m really excited to have a copy of Man of Steel regraded.

Hi kk650! I’ve seen your screen shots on man of steel and I’m blown away. The visuals and colors are impressive and a step up over the original film’s. I would like to know where I can download a copy of your version (if you don’t mind me asking). Thanks!
