How do I put the MKV files for the Despecialized Editions onto a DVD?

It won’t let me just burn the file to a blank. Never done this before, so more detailed replies would be helpful.

If you want it on a dvd you will need the avchd file but if you want to use the mkv you will need a blu ray burner

Do you want to be able to play it in a DVD player in standard def, or a Blu-Ray player in high def? Do you have the ~20GB MKV file or the ~8GB AVCHD file?
