Also, I checked out that link you posted and i dont think that this is that version. In that review it mentions scenes that were cut out that were still in this version (Anakin's dive/laugh in the speeder chase, this scene was still there though the audio on his laugh seemed to be dialed down though it could have just been me imagining things) Im not sure about the power couplings ill have to check if that was there, but im pretty sure it was. And i know for a fact that Yoda/Younglings scene was still in the movie. as was the scene with Dexter.
Plus, as I stated in my earlier review, there were none (at least to my knowledge) cut scenes reinserted (i may have missed more subtle ones, but i know the Padme at her parents was not there).
That article did get me thinking though, and I have to go back and check the subtitles (mainly the scene with the death star schematics) as that seemed different from what i remember in the official. I did do some comparison between the two sources but only to double check things. Ill need to watch it again (when i get some time) and set up my laptop/other tv next to it so i can watch both sources at the same time or at least do more direct comparison of what was cut.
That edit reviewed on theforce.net you posted looks real interesting, would be nice to track a copy of that down. And it does seem to match this edit at times. But part of the problem i had with this edit is while some of the more lame stuff was removed they left others in (and some of the stuff left in was more lame than what was taken out) and also as i said, the complete removal of most of the Anakin/Padme scenes without replacing them with at least parts of the cut scenes or even just editing them heavily. I guess it seemed more of a 'I dont like this part so Im gonna cut it' edit than an edit that made cuts to enhance the overall story and how it was told.
