And yet Bronies exist.
What a world we live in.

Weirdos have always existed.
The Person in Question
Well, we’re a bunch a weird people too, from a certain point of view. 😉
So long as nobody is doing human sacrifices in their basement in front of a plastic pony altar, there’s no need to cast aspersions.
Where were you in '77?
Bad memories of middle school locker room beatings, and the general shittiness of athletes prevent me from enjoying football; I have no such animosity towards cartoon horses.
Anyway, on to the topic of the thread.
Superman (1978)
Extended TV Cut, 188 minutes.
.
Everyone in Junior High was so evil that I couldn’t feel any more animosity towards any one more than the other.

I’ve never experienced jocks like that, which is weird. The people at my school who do play sports are usually really nice.
Not enough people read the EU.
Yeah there wasn’t anything like that when I was in high school either. I don’t remember much bullying in general actually. I mean there were people who were outcast but they didn’t get picked on they were just too shy/quiet. People were always at least semi decent to each other. And it wasn’t even a small school. There was also a lot of pot. Lol!
BLADE RUNNER 2049
Wow, just wow. It’s literally the sequel I never knew I wanted until I saw the trailers and it lived up to all my expectations. A proper follow-up, the running time wasn’t an issue at all to me, and absolutely loved it. Yes I’d most definitely want to see it again and give it my highest recommendations. This is obvious since I love the first movie and all the mini-movies were a perfect touch leading up to BLADE RUNNER 2049.
Will be awesome to have both the UHDs for BLADE RUNNER and BLADE RUNNER 2049 sitting amongst my decent BLADE RUNNER collection. Wonder if Paul M. Sammon will release a book for the sequel. Future Noir: The Making of BLADE RUNNER (updated version soon?) is one of the best books regarding the behind-the-scenes for a movie.
EDIT: Makes me want to replay the 1997 Westwood Studios PC game but I hate that exploding building. (That particular game has quite a lot of multiple endings.)

Yeah, the jocks were usually friendly at least. The most vicious bullies were usually misfits themselves.

I saw It. I liked It quite a bIt.

Apocalypse Now (1979) – ★★★★ (of ☆☆☆☆)
Army of Darkness: The Medieval Deadit | The Terminator - Color Regrade | The Wrong Trousers - Audio Preservation
SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.
“Rings” (2017)
In the original U.S. remake of Ringu there was a haunting and memorable scene on a ferry where a horse freaked out and jumped into the water. Tragically, shortly before leaping to its death the poor animal disgraced itself and took a dump. Fifteen years later that horse can finally rest in peace because somebody’s scooped up every last piece of that manure and made a movie out of it.
I give it -1 out of 5.
^ ALLOL!
I loved Ringu and actually enjoyed The Ring even more (heresy, I know, but it tidied up a few ‘just because’ moments from the original and the pacing was tighter).
I never had an ounce of interest in Rings. I had actually forgotten all about that.
Wonder Woman, finally. I very much enjoyed it. Definitely the best of the DCEU so far by a wide margin, and I say that as someone who mostly loved Man of Steel and genuinely enjoyed the director’s cut of BvS.
Honestly, at times it felt like a superior version of the first Captain America movie, except this one didn’t relegate the most interesting part of the narrative to a montage.
Cautiously optimistic for Justice League…
Blade Runner 2049
I’m still wrapping my head around it. I’m very happy I got to see it on the big screen before it was too late.

The Princess Bride - 8/10
Yadda yadda I’m a filthy millenial. Saw this for the first time through Fathom Events and man, I loved it. Great absurdist humor and fantasy storytelling.
Only an 8? Inconceivable!
A girl I barely knew once referred to The Princess Bride as the worst movie ever made. Obviously, she hadn’t seen more than five movies.

What the double?
- Babar: The Movie (1989) – 5/10
Is that one “b” or two?
Stalker (1979)
I won’t pretend to fully understand it–to try would take me probably 100 watches–but I loved every frame. For nostalgic purposes, I may not ever call a movie other than Star Wars my “favorite,” but this might be the greatest film I’ve ever seen.
