Those blu-ray screencaps in the comparisons are actually not 100% accurate colourwise, there is a blanket yellow tint on the blu-ray but its not that strong. For a few of my latest regrades for new films, because I was juggling so many releases at the same time, I tried a shortcut of reversing my regrade settings on the finished regrade to get the blu-ray screencaps, allowing me to delete blu-rays immediately after finishing encodes and freeing up harddisk space for more encodes.

I thought that they would look the same as the blu-ray but Andrea let me know via PM a few days back that that is actually not the case, it makes the blanket tint look worse for some reason. You can go check out the screencaps for the Baywatch blu-ray on blu-ray.com if you want a more accurate idea of the colours. The regraded screencaps in the comparisons are 100% accurate though.

Needless to say, I’ll be taking screencaps directly from the blu-rays from now on.
