Uh, these were the children from the man she loved and married. Somebody in whom her last words confirmed she believed there was still good. That's about as far from a rape victim as you can get.
The man she loved and married was dead and gone and had betrayed her. For that matter, he tried to kill her. She was so devastated by the changes in him, his complete 180, his hatred for everything she held above all else, that she no longer had the will to live. When Anakin turned on her, something in her died, much like when a rape victim is raped, something in them dies. Rape victims are able to go on, obviously and live productive lives, but the rape changes them. Now, picture a constant reminder of the horrible thing that has happened to them (rape/Anakin's betrayal). I just think she couldn't deal with that and 'gave up'. In the deleted dialogue from the film, Obi Wan tells her not to give up, the children need her. She replies she can't.
