I am very glad Ady will be adding some more B-wings and new pilot scenes, I would love to see the executor being taken down by B-wings. He could totally keep the scenes on the Bridge … but take out the crashing A-wing and instead have a 3 B-wing Squad do a full blast on the bridge.

The B-wings did NOTHING in the movie despite their function as a capitol ship destroyer …

I am not really too sure on Jabba’s palace. It is easy to say “use CGI to replace some of the puppets,” but would it stick out if one cannot make really good CGI to blend it. Some editing could be nice, I am curious how much content he would hack, alter, or even change!

If Ady was to keep the original “plan,” then I think just tinkering a bit with Luke’s Rancor scene would do it … make it SEEM more planned then not.

“Because you are a PalpaWalker?”

Goddammit! Another page (previous one) without anything to do with Adywan’s project. Glad that Jani-wan is gone now. I would really love to subscribe to this topic finally. 😄

I’m all for more B-Wings, but I hope the A-Wing still takes out the Super Destroyer bridge.
Ady has said that he will be recreating the famous production art of the B-Wings taking out a couple regular Destroyers*, which will add even more epic scale and destruction to the battle.

Dang, that would look so awesome on the customized Blu-Ray covers! 😄

I think the rescue of Han needs to play into the larger story, perhaps the Rebels need his knowledge of old smuggler hyperspace lanes for the impending attack on the Death Star.

He’s one of the heros of the 2 previous movies, that’s enough reason to spend half an hour rescuing him I would think.

These suggestions are going nowhere. I don’t know how many of these shots will be kept in the edit, but maybe these suggestions might help

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A8dJlP_yFTI

Also (I didn’t see this listed anywhere or if it was already discussed) the scene when Obi-wan tells Luke about his sister, I would suggest if his force ghost be enhanced with the force glow like in TESB:R and maybe at the ending too with Obi-wan, Anakin (Sebastian Shaw), and Yoda.

The steel bar here is already pre-cut before Luke even strikes it.

In the scene when Jabba eats the frog-like creature from the water bowl and then “Leia” enters with Chewbacca chained up “to collect the bounty on him”, in the next shot showing Jabba the frog-like creature is shown in the water bowl again.

In this shot the matte painting here that’s meant to be Lando hanging from the skiff is poorly drawn.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAnkFVaKnec&t=3m58s

When Luke removes Vader’s helmet revealing Anakin’s face the breathing apparatus partially covers his mouth and chin completely. Then when Luke lowers his head after his father dies, Anakin’s mouth and chin are clearly visible with the breathing apparatus gone.

Is it possible to add Boba Fett in every of these shots ?

It’s a magical Jedi crunchy frog! He Force teleports out of Jabba’s stomach each time he’s eaten. 😛

I wish my double pepperoni pizza did that. 😕

I assume that some slave, possibly a Jawa on stilts, has the job of keeping Jabba’s crunchy-frog bowl topped up at all times from a supply cupboard/pond out the back.

Actually because of the way that scene is edited, as a kid I thought that Oola had somehow been shrunk by some machine beneath the trap door and transported to that bowl, and Jabba was then eating her. But that’s a discussion for the “childhood misconceptions” thread.

JEDIT: Corrected spelling of “Oola”.

They told me they’d fixed it!

Almost sounds like something you’d find in the Phantasm series.

Great ideas, either of them would be awesome!

I don’t see any issue with this one, to me it actually looks like there are at least two frog creatures in the bowl in the top shot and only one in the bottom shot. I’d always imagined he originally had a bowl full of them since Jabba’s a pretty big guy and by the last shot he is down to the last one after having just seen him down the other one he just grabbed out.

It’s only one.

Yeah it just must be a shadow at the bottom of the bowl with the moving water that made it seem in my memory like there was more than one. It’s not a detail I particularly paid attention to whenever watching the movie but now I’m going to notice it every time thanks to you 😛 (or maybe thanks to Ady if he fixes this small continuity error).

In the spirit of continuing with actual suggestions:

Throughout the barge sequence Lando is gloveless except for two shots right after he falls off the side of the skiff:

And then here he is without gloves right after:

Any Hooo…
This is as much for AR:SE as for ROTJ:R, what with Rogue One having very polished reflective floors in key rooms is it possible or desirable to do something similar for Death Star interiors in other films?
The floors are quite reflective in both films but not to the same mirror effect of Rogue One and I quite liked the effect. It makes the rooms look other worldly and obsessively sterile and buffed. So many OT Death Star sets have dents and scratches and scuff marks. Jedi has some very tatty cobbled together sets which are kind of forgivable for the Rebels but not so much for the Empire.

Wouldn’t we need actual reflections of EVERYTHING to make the floor reflective?

Not necessarily accurate reflections. There is a loss of resolution with any reflective surface. What it would take would be someone to make a sample of what is already reflected, Create an abstract reconstruction of the reflection with a bit more detail and blend that with a black background and then rotoscope around the existing surface. It wouldn’t be a perfect mirror but it would be closer to the Rogue One look. Though it would also be a lot of hard work 😄

Or we could not. =P
