Ok, so here is the deal. I rewatched ROTS again tonight and we are all basically off. The blue is nowhere near dark enough in any of our pictures. The core should be solid white, never changing. The aurora around it goes from light blue to dark blue at the outer most edge. When the saber is moved, the blue is dialed down and the white is dialed up. Atleast, if you are trying to get it to match the awesome PT sabers. If you are wanting to go for the OT look, then I guess most of them are right.

I personally like the PT sabers the best, but to each their own. That's why I'm rotoscoping them to be that way, so there is consistency. Unfortunately, when I went from dvd footage to photoshop and then back, the image quality was shot all th hell, so now I have to figure out a new way to rotoscope 84 friggin frames. Awesome!
