Compared to some of the things happening lately yes he was a saint. He was just a dick whose personal experience meant more than both your personal experience and neutral facts.
Please don’t call him that. He said many things I totally disagreed with him on. Sometimes he pissed me off. Sometimes he went way too far. But I consider him a friend.
