On Facebook I’m seeing the usual spray of anti-gun-law rhetoric from my Republican friends. The most common is - we don’t need gun laws because people just disobey them. What the h? Why have any laws then? The twisted logic that seems to apply when the topic is guns just astounds me.
If someone kills with a meat cleaver, we make the killer against the law, not the implement.
The “logic” is that we have to ban that which fosters violent gun crime. I’d wager that around 95% of those who commit violent gun crimes against others are Democrats or characters who would support Democrat politics llllloooooooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggggg before they would support conservative values.
The logical course for the gun-grabbers is clear. They must devote themselves to stamping out the Democrat Party, and all politics related to it, lllllllooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg before they even think about rendering the regular citizens who yearn to live human lives utterly defenseless in the face of Antifa Stormtroopers.
