No matter how good, precise or accurate they could do it, there will be a certain amount of people who will shout out loud how wrong, imprecise or inaccurate their restoration is. They can’t please everyone because too much time has passed. Opinions on how the restoration should look & sound like are diverging day by day.
Well, no including any of the changes from the 1997, 2004, and 2012 versions would be a good start.

Getting Robert A. Harris to supervise an OOT restoration would eliminate most disagreements about how it should look.

As long as the film is cut right and Han and Leia’s faces aren’t Magenta, I’d be happy. Everyone who thinks their specific color preferences should carry some weight because they’re reflected in print X or Y is neurotic, IMO. How green were the Death Star walls on a new 1977 Kodak print? I don’t care.

What would prompt you to download a fan edit? If it’s an OOT release on blu ray, why go to a fan edit?
