Thanks to him and ImageShack, the mockups are mostly gone, but the list is just private if I had the momentum to clean it up.

What is the list inside this link? Just listing all suggestions made so far by everyone? Or just from yourself? I take it from the italics and strike through comments that it’s not an official list which I’m grateful for if it means none of the PT inspired changes make it in! I read the suggestion about replacing the advisors with Nemoidians and nearly puked! A lot of the other suggested changes are pretty solid and good but I can’t stand the thought of defiling an OT movie with PT aspects!! I already hate GL just for Hayden’s head on Shaw’s body…

This was a 5 year old compilation of suggestions/mockups from another thread.
Just got to say that some of the suggestions I’ve read in here such as Regularjoe and Bingowings above (as well as others many pages back now) verge on the fan edit territory if not outright “re-imagined” territory for some suggestions and I really hope Adywan sticks to his guns on making “what the SEs should have been”. That is to enhance what is already there, fix all the little niggles and continuity issues and overall elevate the original movie to something really special like he’s already done for ANH and TESB.
We’re all here because we loved the original movies, cutting out parts like Kenobi or Yoda’s death or adding in PT inspired changes will all contribute to actually ruining the movie for many people for various reasons instead of EVERYONE still being able to enjoy and love an even better version and proper SE of ROTJ, warts and all. If there are certain things you want to change for yourself then take the end result of ROTJ:R as a base and make an actual fan edit.
Anyway, I’m not here to tell Adywan what to do with ROTJ:R, that’s just my opinion on the matter and it just shocked me a bit when reading through and expecting to see people offering up details of things to fix and ways to improve the movie to an SE version but instead seeing many suggestions that would completely alter the story and movie itself.

Like I said recently “What The Special Editions Should Have Been” was a tagline I came up with. Adywan has said he’s planning for this to be an actual fan edit, not a fan fix.
Ah k, fair enough on both accounts. I just hope Ady’s fan edit isn’t too radical…I’ve fully embraced and loved what he’s done with ANH:R and TESB:R and it would really suck personally to not have a similar ROTJ:R to finish off an awesome re-visioning of the SEs. I know the tag line was created by you but I think it perfectly epitomises what the Revisited movies are and I hope they will form the perfect SW Revisited saga / trilogy rather than having 2 awesome SEs and having to find a different fan fix to finish it off…or even worse, left an incomplete trilogy with no other fan fix being worthy to fill the void 😕
It kind of puzzles me though that you would get 2/3 of the way through revisiting the trilogy in such a way and then change direction and focus for the last 3rd which chances ruining the success and the prospect of going down in history as the perfect fan fix SE trilogy. Such probably wasn’t what Ady was aiming for but in my mind that is where it was headed. Saying this may not happen if it’s going to be an edit instead of a fix is not a sledge against Ady as I doubt anything he produces would be less than amazing but in all seriousness, when I thought about my future SW viewing experience, the image consisted of having a really hard time choosing each time whether to watch Harmy’s DSE OT or Ady’s Revisited OT SEs and the thought now of that possibly not being the case if Ady ends up making ROTJ:R quite different from the theatrical story, it’s a bit of a shock to the system.
Anyway, I’m still happy to have made the donation and will eagerly await over the years to see what comes of it. I understand it’s Ady’s edit, his vision of SW…finding out it will be an edit rather than a fix though just happened to give a good yank on the SW rug underneath me that has only started to piece itself back together upon finding my way here looking for PT fan edits which led me to Harmy’s DSEs and other amazing community creations that have made my SW viewing experience something truly enjoyable and loved again, instead of subconsciously trying to forget what GL did in later years to some of my favourite all time movies that I grew up with.
