Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side

Emperor Jar-Jar
“Back when we made Star Wars, we just couldn’t make Palpatine as evil as we intended. Now, thanks to the miracles of technology, it is finally possible. Finally, I’ve created the movies that I originally imagined.” -George Lucas on the 2007 Extra Extra Special HD-DVD Edition

GL should remake Howard the Duck too. Lucas got lucky and ran with it, thats all that needs to be said he got lucky with the right producer and help.
"Drink the Kool-Aid. Wear blinders. Cover your ears. Because that's the only way you can totally enjoy Revenge of the Sith -- the final and most futile attempt from skilled producer, clumsy director and tin-eared writer George Lucas to create a prequel trilogy to match the myth-making spirit of the original Star Wars saga he unleashed twenty-eight years ago. Fan boys, of course, have convinced themselves otherwise. So have several critics, if you go by early reviews."

true but this isn't kisslucasbutt.com either This site is about getting the OOT on DVD. Lucas refuses to do so. That means he is the enemy and should be treated as such. Perhaps some of it goes too far but I can't say I'm too worried about the hurt feeling of a rich man who doesn't give a darn about us.

For Lucas fans: When I bash Lucas I am attacking him, not you. So please stop taking it a personal attack on you. And most of the time I'm just kidding around. So don't take it too seriously.

And we aren't complaining about you, warbler, we are complaining about the immature way Jedikev and Cable are handling their anger at lucas.

But you and others have done so in the not so distant past. .

I think Lucas does deserve a lifetime achievement award. I think he's a hack director and not very talented at writing dialogue, but he has introduced many innovations into the world of cinema... especially in films he had no direct connection with. Industrial Light and Magic has some influence in almost every movie nowadays. While Lucas may be like a kid in a candy shop with CGI, other directors do know how to use it effectively, and they have Lucas to thank for pioneering it. While he may not have developed things personally, he did set the wheels in motion for innovation that other people have been able to run with.

Now, is that better? I think that's something of a constructive argument, complaining what I don't like about him while not letting that detract from what he is worthy for. And no LucASS anywhere either. ^_^

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

It's really funny that afi gave him a lifetime achievement award, considering the version of star wars and empire on their list are not the special edition or 2004 edition. Also notice it is for pioneering special effects, not for making the greatest space fantasy of all time or for genius of storytelling.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
