Sorry you just lost me. Those were terrible performances, imho. Hayden Christensen has yet to show a superb acting performance (Jumper…shudders). And blaming Spielberg for Lucas’s blunders is dumbfounding to me. Spielberg’s quality was only tarnished when he allowed Lucas too much control (Temple of Doom, Crystal Skull).

Frink beat me to it. You mean Shattered Glass. 😉

I did see Shattered Glass and found it intriguing. It’s a rare gem for him for sure, and while it was good acting on his part, I’m not sure I’d say it was superb acting. (He’s still a better actor than me though)

Watched them ALL again this weekend and fixed up everything except boss nass and biggs scene. I’ve sent the new links out to those that requested them.

Only 4 people messaged me so hopefully they will watch - I’d really appreciate feedback on what people thought worked or didn’t but it seems not too many people want to take a chance. No one has hope for better films? Star Wars fan edits are built on hope 😉

I do not want to put any kind of cut scenes list because that will RUIN everything. You must unlearn what you have learned - release your hate for the prequels. If you’re interested and don’t have the bandwith I can mail you a set of dvds free of charge. Just pm me, I’ll be going to the US next and can mail some sets then.

It’s amazing though how no matter what forum you go on people are ready to fight first, before anything else… No one is ever greeted with welcome - always hostility. Maybe something to think about… May the force be with you!

THANK YOU. The hindi track is the problem. NO source is good. It’s like they recorded it over the actual movie lol No it’s BAD. That is not my fault and nothing I could do about it. It sucks because it’s the first part so that can a negative perspective on things to come. I’ve watched these so many times it doesn’t bother me too much but there’s simply nothing I can do. I have to fix Boss Nass’ dialogue with guigon to remove the audio pops but again - the dub was SO lousy it just it is what is.

But honestly feel feel to mention anything else you thought didn’t work. I can only judge from my point of view - I need to see what others think too. 😉

Was that where he admonishes him in front of everyone? Yeah it was a little too mean and not master/padawan, like ‘this is business’ tone. PLus ani in ATOC is just a whine douche. I removed all his whinyness.

It’s like the scene in throne room - we’re supposed to believe they feel something for each other (padme and ani) and their biggest scene int he movie she belittles him and admonishes him in front of everyone. You can just FEEL the live there can’t you? lol The tone is sometimes just thrown right out the window and the story suffers… all because we needed more cgi lol

Well then only you lose in this situation. I’ve never watched anyone else’s except the two phantom edits - and they were just so so. Removing JarJar doesn’t fix the movie - and those two edits failed to FIX the movies. Changing Jar Jar voice and giving him proper eng subs ‘fixes’ his character. If he’s not a total moron then you do;t hate him - and he has CRUCIAL moments in the story. In a perfect world, he’d have his own eng style proper voice and not mesa wesa yousa…for now, it’s subtitles.

The only way to fix AOTC is to gather everything off the cutting room floor. AOTC is the most poorly edited film I’ve ever seen. The heart and soul are LITERALLY on the cutting room floor. That’s just sad and shameful. Professional people made that movie, people long time in the industry. WOW.

So I didn’t watch anyone’s - I just made my my own. I think I’ve done the overall story justice. I get that you don’t want to check it out without a list telling you EVERYTHING I’ve done and thus ruining the experience but that’s your call, completely. Like I said though - only you lose in that situation. But thanks for coming here to tell me you wont watch it. Instead of just wasting your time (apparently with my edits) now you’ve wasted BOTH of ours. lol 😉

All good but I’ve been working on these for two years. I wouldn’t come in here with crap - I’m pretty confident these are VERY good - I wouldn’t do that people. I don’t think anything else can be fixed story wise in my edits (that I can do, I didn’t get paid for this). Editing previously time, scored and edited footage is not not easy. It’s hard to get in and out of scenes like you’d like too - so I’m confident in them. Others may look prettier lol but I’m just concentrating on the story. I know it’s along haul - 9 movies - but I hope it’s worth it. You have to watch them all, that’s the thing. I tried to make that way (again, hopefully).

Hopefully you change your mind one day…or maybe I’ll try and come up with some kind of changes list. Ugh, I should have done it while I watched them all again last weekend… “We shall see…we shall see…”

Oh if any one wants to see a sample of a rough cut scene I added to Force Awakens (maybe to get a taste) go youtube ‘SNOKE DELETED SCENE’, look for ‘Dj Ritty’ beside it and click that (it’s got 290K views I think). It’s an early rough cut cuz everything i’ve put up after gets deleted.

All of this, except for me it’s more like 15-20. And the fact that I’ve decided, after years of fooling myself, that “liking the most” is too low of a bar to bother with.

See I can’t hate on that - I’d be worn out too LOL Honestly. I’ve watched my edits for two years over and over and over and over…I can only imagine if I didn’t like it lol So I get it…but that sucks. It’s too bad I got here late lol I’ve offered these to people and had them simply shake their head at me furiously…like Jerry and Audrey and the apple pie. So I get it…hey it took me a while to begin to attempt this. These movie are honestly pretty bad (the preqs)… It’s a shame we got stuck with them cuz they really just bogged everything down. Lucas, Hoawrd and Spielberg should have all callabo’d and each done one. Would have been perfect. Leaving george up to his own devices…not so good.What can I say they’ve become a chore that’s why I say you have to unlearn what you have learned cuz it’s SO HARD to go into these abominations fresh.

We’ve heard this kind of confidence time and time again. Occasionally it’s backed up by the actual product, but most of the time it’s just empty boasting, and that is revealed quite quickly.

If you want more than four people to see it, you should also consider submitting at fanedit.org. We’re reasonably strict on quality control, and have a community (The Academy) whose job it is to review for quality and accept or reject to the site based on quality. So if it’s good, that’s a good way to prove it…and increase your audience.

Lol I’m old, my hips, my back and my knees are shot so I got some spare time lol BUT I did this cuz I wanted too. Cuz I love the films and no one should have to sit through bad ones. That’s not boasting - I want better for everyone. I’m not out to prove how good I am or any b.s. like that. They’re not perfect but the story is all that should matter. I did the best I could with oldish equipment. I’m poor lol, sorry.

So WHAT does QUALITY mean? Is every cut and dub perfectly done what matters or that the movies are actually FUN? I thought the phantom edits were crap so that’s where I stand - my pickiness - those where NO WHERE near good enough. The whole saga is in flames…

Look at the Exorcist III DC… Ive waited forever for it. FINALLY saw it was released and watched it this year. They didn’t even bother to put the black bars over 4:3 footage or anything…just cuts in aspect ratio, quality and even color and black n freakin white! This from an actual studio released blu ray. So…what is quality? That blu ray was pure laziness but I still watched it. I should combine the two - cuz much like Superman II BOTH versions are incomplete without footage form the other - to fix that… But I digress - I still watched it and it wasn’t the end of the world. The extra scenes that connected it to part 1, the music, the mood, THE STORY…all that kept me pretty glued so I don’t know what to say to things like ‘quality’. I watched old wrestling ppvs in black n white scrambled up back in the day lol…just sat there listening more or less.

So if quality means it’s a good watch then I might submit it but if people aren’t gonna let themselves be sucked in and really give a crap about ALL the films and the big picture then it’s useless to me. I don’t a give shit about anyone’s opinion on anything technical - I used a free copy of PD to make this - their wipes are SHIT and I know it (that really pissed me off that I couldn’t do the same wipes but again - technical b.s.) so get over it. If I failed either anis story or luke’s story (or even rey and jynn) then let me know…that’s what I’m concerned about. I want the entire thing to feel like that moment in TFA when she gets the saber. When the music slowly kicks in after it flies by Kylo’s face. That little moment is star wars gold right there.

So who’s to say what’s quality and what’s nitpicking? …well ME. That’s why I await comments. Oh and two more people asked for links 😛 So there! LOL A little chill that runs up your back.

• trimmed scenes of droids and jedi battle, various trims (too much action and jedi babble too soon, loses the mystery
  and mystique), added the music from new hope when they take off their hoods. trimmed as much of Sidous referring to the senate as I could…
• trimmed palace scene before invasion
• changed jar jar to hindi (he’s now NOt an idiot or annoying) and added proper english subs. I also altered some of his dilaogue to refer to his actual backstory
• trimmed jars jars return
• changed nass to hindi and altered dialogue, trimmed scene
• altered some dialogue in sub, changed to hindi, removed 2nd fish scene, various trims
• changed some dialogue, added them walking up palace steps (always hated how they just came outta nowhere), various trims
• trims in fight and hanger, alt jar jar dialogue (if anyone has anything better than 'Wow, these guys are powerful" pls tell me)
• various trims in hangar, cut as much of portman padme that I could so it wasn’t so obvious shes the queen
• cut droids and jar jar scenes, various trims in ship scene
• trimmed sidous and vice roy scene a bit
• anyone got any better dialogue than 'I hate all this sand."? Pls tell me.
• removed jar jar and droid in watto shop, various trims, trimmed jar jar leaving (they made him SO dumb he can’t even exit a door properly!)
• altered dialogue on city streets, trimmed sebulba confrontation
• trimmed in the skywalker house (cut naked part)
• re-edited the lunch scene (if you don’t like ani by the end of THIS scene there’s no hope. Jake lloyd is great here), various trims
• originally when they go back to wattos shop after lunch I changed the sky color but in the end I put that off till later. I changed the sky to purple
  when Shmi is talking to qui-gon. Also trimmed that scene and made it darker to show night coming
• trimmed qui-gon & ani in wattos shop
• trimmed ani/qui-gon night scene a bit
• re-arranged the scene in the hanger right before the race - and trimmed it as well (cut out sebulba)
• extended the race to it’s full length Every racer is introduced and has some moment in the race (big or small). Gave the 2nd commentator
  subtitles since he says some good stuff. I could still trim more in the race intro but I kept most of it for length. I was aiming to have all
  them between 2-2hrs 5mins. Cut Sebulba messing with anis racer - it’s irrelavent.
• Unfortunately the quality dips in the pod race squence for a bit cuz I’m using the del footage. Jabba’s dialogue I did actually lift from someone’s
  youtube video. I have no idea who that was - much like the scene of qui gon in jedi - shouto uts tob oth those people who i forget who they are lol I stoel two lines and 5 secs of footage lol 😉
• trimmed qui gon going back, added greedo scene, trimmed inside the house a little bit, added 3pos POV in three shots.

SIDE NOTE - I HATE the way Qui Gon says “you’re no longer a slave.” He looks so stupid, like he should have added ‘dude or buddy’ after. So bad.
Like surfer-dude Quigon. But I couldn’t edit it out like I couldn’t stop the suns from setting… It’s like the only thing I couldn’t cut that I wanted to lol

• Trimmed ani and shmi, added the del scene with the old lady and the probe droid. This scene NEEDS to be in. It just makes the appearance of
  Maul less jarring(?). I hate these wipes, I’m sorry about those guys - they’re so stiff.
• cut the scene with jar jar aboard the ship. Awful stuff. Cut her recieving the message (again don’t need to blungeom us with the fact she’s the queen).
  At least shse’s not ani’s sister! Trimmed ani and padmes dialogue.
• trimmed the platform scene and re-arranged it slightly. whatever, it ‘works’ lol (we work with what we have)
  I STOLE the edit from the city to the palpatine/queen speech from the phantom edit I believe lol I admit that ONE.
• trimmed the jedi council scene a bit, I HATE the scene where ani goes to see padme (he so much older lol) but I needed the transition…
• trimmed/re-arranged the senate scene
• might have trimmed ani council scene - not sure lol
• changed dialogue to hindi for padme/jarjarscene. Padme was super smart and bad ass…as queen she MIGHT know Gungan. I liked her speaking his
  language so deal with it lol 😉
• trimmed qui gon and ani platform scene, cut the part with obi wan. He’s a total PRICK to obi wan here - so I cut it. I much prefer their talk by the lake
  that foreshadows obis own talk with anakin in III. I like the midichlorian stuff. Everyone wondered howd it be possible. they gave a reason and everyone
  shat on it. It’s the same force as the original trilogy force - yoda and obi just dumb it down for luke. Why go into such detail now…it works for me anyways.
• trimmed the meeting with gungans
• trimmed battle plan meeting scene, cut jarjar and boss nass nonsense
• edited battle scene to remove any jar jar hi jinks except for when he pulls down the back of the cart and the balls fall out. Gave him the
  old “I have a bad feeling about this” line.
• trimmed inside the hangar, moslty ani’s dum dialogue and actions. “Where’s the trigger?” As he pushes the ignition. Come on, how dumb is he?
• trimmed all the rest of the battle scenes. That really has to bee seen as I can’t describe every cut lol
• edited the maul lightsaber fight a bit here and there, cut them ascending - GOD WHAT A DUMB SCENE, added maul saying ‘and they call you master’
• edited the throne room scene a bit, they don’t get the guns out of the throne, they already had them on them (2 small guns no big deal. they laid down their
  big guns already).
• end is pretty much as is from maul getting sliced except for removing obi telling ani he will train him at the funeral (WE know this already lol)
• removed the vader breathing after credits - to part III

so that’s most of it for TPM. LOTS of little cuts here and there and probably full scenes I didn’t mention cuz I forgot I cut them lol
If this helps any let me know I’ll do it for the rest too but this is as in-depth as I’m getting. Thanks, Sorry for spelling errors I’m doing this as I watched the movie. I will REFINE this…just wan to know if this is what you want more or less.

I know you said you don’t care about other people’s opinion on technical quality, which isn’t the same as not caring about technical quality itself, but that’s still a bit of a red flag to me.

I mean it in regards to with what I have, I’ve done the BEST I can. Like this is it. So anything beyond “maybe cut here instead of here” or the sound is really jarring here is all I can accommodate…little stuff that just lends to nitpicking most of the time. I don’t get paid for this so it is what it is. I don’t need nerd snobbery lol I need someone who’s tired of watching crap. No offense, but it sounds like this edit was made in a conceptual vacuum. Lots of us have already made our own versions of these films. We watch yours and others to gain new perspectives and approaches to editing. It isn’t nerd snobbery that is being offered, it’s sincere constructive criticism. My own edits aren’t perfect, but they’ve been able to rise above what I thought I could produce because I kept an open mind towards the comments, suggestions and challenges of others to change my approach. One of the reasons why so many people fanedit the prequels is because George Lucas didn’t have a check and balance when making the films. He simply said, I made my own, I have no need. IMO there’s nothing major lacking in mine. I’ll most likely only glance through your edits because you don’t seem to care about getting feedback and improving your skills and abilities. I’m intrigued by your use of other languages for voices. It’s also odd that you seem to refer to your edit as a turd. Not very inviting…anyway, I glance through the edits again.
