Plus you already have experience, you know the flaws, you know what to correct etc…
I would build the same, but better.

An Empire had to start growing, and because of that, the research still being done, and all of the production delays, it took a whole 19 years for the Death Star I to be fully finished. It only took 4 years for the Death Star II to be built because by then, the Empire was in full power.
