One could make the argument that Boba wanted to form his own persona, and not live in the shadow of the clones that were in his “father”'s image, so he adopted a different voice.

That would work if not for the fact he uses his own voice in TCW.

It’s not genetically determined though, he uses Logans voice in AoTC and TCW and sounds similar to Morrison (because it was him) when he ages in the same way Rex sounds different when younger (Baker isn’t very good to start with, affecting an Australian accent in TCW) but sounds far more like Morrison by Rebels. None of those are American accents.

I’m just a massive fan of how Morrison sounds (I played Republic Commando) but I don’t feel like making a custom version of TESB:R for the simple reason the recording of the lines isn’t very good in the SE.

I guess I was unclear originally, I meant ‘I prefer Bobba having a Kiwi accent over a generic cowboy one’ rather than ‘I prefer the takes of the dialogue used in the SEs over the original’.

I understand too what you mean. I am on the fence about that. I like the original voice, it added some good personality that matched with Boba Fett. But, to be accurate now due to the prequels, it should now be Morrison’s voice. I understand the reason too why Adywan used the original since he was planning on completely redoing the prequel movies, so he could ax Jango Fett, or at least using his genetics to the clones.

But if I was skilled/had the time, I would implement Morrison’s voice strictly to be “correct” with the prequels. I’d watch Hals’ prequel trilogy and eventually all of Ady’s star wars as my preferred way of watching the movies … well, asides from watching Harmy’s despecialized since they are the only prefered ways of watching “untouched” star wars. 😉
