Not if you’ve got a good texture pack. After playing both N64 Zelda games in 1080p on a massive screen with all textures replaced by high resolution textures but in the same art style I couldn’t imagine playing them any other way ever again.
Is there a complete HD texture pack for OOT? I know we’ve talked about this before, but I don’t remember if there’s a 100% complete set yet.
I’ve played through using an HD pack, but some backgrounds (the entrance to castle town stands out) were still the original elements and really threw me out of the experience.
I don’t think there’s one that has all the little background entrance things done but just those being missing never really bothered me because there was always a disconnect there in my mind anyway.
