Well, it seems like the Falcon’s exterior is also getting a similar make-over in this new HAN SOLO movie…along with some new ‘cargo-hauling’ action -

And where are they getting their info from? I can’t imagine Lucasfilm disregarding that the Falcon had a cameo in ROTS.
Kenner toyed with the idea of a ship that docked in the front of the Falcon, but it never made it past the prototype.
I liked the idea the MF had a history before even Lando owned it. It certainly wasn’t a brand new ship in the Lando novels. Maybe we’ll finally see the elusive escape pods mentioned in the original film?
