If the Democrats had run Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Taylor then it would have been a sure Democrat victory.

I thought you were making a point, which is that anyone but Hillary would have beaten Trump. Which might be true, but I don’t buy this idea that Sanders or Warren automatically would have won. Probably, ok, but it discounts all the non-Hillary reasons Trump won.
Warren and Sanders both had negatives that would have been a big deal in the general election. Probably not as negative as Clinton, but you can’t just simply discount those negatives completely.
