While it will be next year at least before i write up all the ideas i had for the PT, this is one thing that was worked on. It was to be included in the Complete Saga trailer i had planned, but when decided not to do the PT, it was scrapped and never properly finished, so is still in its very rough stages.

Thats very incredibly awesome. (By the way, I never thought of that, it makes so much more sense story wise and a lot more epic) It is absolutely a shame it will never be.

I don’t mean to guilt trip you Ady but this just makes me even more depressed. The PT needs to be done by someone. You were my last hope, cue Yoda 😃

In my opinion, it was only Adywan who could turn the prequels into proper Star Wars movies and no one else. With Adywan out of the picture, prequels are lost forever, as they will never be watchable no matter how much you cut them. (Mostly because it needs a special touch only Adywan level editing could provide.) But no one could blame him as it is a massive undertaking and OT took so much of his time as it is.

Glad to see the SE elements being removed. Especially Jedi Rocks. Ady, will you be restoring the original or just cutting it out altogether? I never felt like the Jabbas Palace scene needed a song and dance number

I would agree, it always seemed odd that there is a musical number at that scene. (I mean, this was supposed to be the first time we see the big bad boss “Jabba the Hutt” as he was only mentioned in the first movie, there should have been a little mystery, a little suspense… but BOOOM! a silly musical number with dancing and stuff.) Not to mention it was already weird before and SE made it so much worse. Only thing I would keep from the SE would be the Twi’lek slave girl scene (you know, where he throws her in the pit to be eaten), because that scene could be used for bit of a foreshadowing and it made Jabba the Hutt seem a little bit more menacing. (a total disregard for life)

Yes, a female voice will be reinstated for that pilot. The deleted scenes for ROTJ, for the most part, are very low quality. No amount of cleaning and upscaling could get those shots acceptable for a HD film. This includes all of the Jerjerrod scenes. The only ones that have really any chance of fitting in are the Falcon interior scenes.

It is really awesome that you are adding and restoring (well, partly at least) female pilots.
It is entirely up to you, but I have a question/suggestion for you.
Since you are already building sets and costumes to use it on this project, would you consider adding female pilots to ANH:R-HD as well? (I am only suggesting it here because… well… it is relevant here, since you are already going to build everything necessary to do such a thing for RotJ:R, you could do the scenes for the both movies in a single take) All three of these movies have a serious lack of female characters (not to mention there are female pilots in the meeting, but no female pilots in the fight) and it could be used to flesh out the first Deathstar fight we see.

Lastly, how do you guys feel about adding a few TIE Striker’s? I mean, the rebellion has so many cool ships and fighters, but on the Empires side there is little to no variety.

It looks cool and adding some diversity would be visually stunning.
