Hopefully someone will be able to identify this next movie, 'cause I’ve spent decades in the dark and the Googles do nothing.
In the summer of '96, I watched on TV this old movie. I can’t say how old it was, but it was in colour, so I’d wager it’s from the late '50s-early '60s. IIRC, it was a UK production, 'cause I recall at least most of the cast having English accents. I don’t remember what the plot actually was, but I believe it was set in a seaside town somewhere in the 19th or early 20th century, and it featured pirate ghosts (I recall a scene where an old, dry skeleton took on its lost flesh, becoming a flesh-and-blood pirate, scaring the bejeesus out of some mortals.). This wasn’t a horror movie; it was some type of fantasy-adventure flick aimed at kids, and I think it may have been a Disney production.
