No. From what I have heard and have been told, there isn’t really any agreement on the preferred term. Some people want to be called black, some African American. Who is right?

Because it was how slave masters, the overseers and bigots used to refer to African Americans/black people. What Roots. It told me all I needed to know about that word. It is dirty disgusting racist word. White people should never use it. I don’t think anyone should, but I know we disagree there.
