hey, i just said i wasn’t going to get into it! 😃

i could give some anecdotal evidence, but you could also research it and read other’s opinions that are probably better formulated than my own.

All i will say is, it is a helluva lot simpler to travel as a male, than a breast-feeding female. as a male, i don’t even have the physical ability to breastfeed, so i am not judged if i give a bottle, i can’t offend people by breast feeding in public, i am not expected to keep a child quiet at the store, because i am being a male and working. Try keeping a career as a woman who also wants to raise a child. maternity leave, can’t bring child to work with you to breast feed, etc etc etc. all issues men don’t even have to find solutions to because we aren’t put in the situation where breast feeding is an option. see, you got me going, shame on you :p

You really have no idea how much of a pain in the ass looking after kids is?

The Person in Question

You think female workers at stores are expected to keep kids quiet more than male workers? The people I expect to keep kids quiet are parents/guardians, not the store workers.

A lot of the stuff you mentioned unfortunately can’t be helped, it is a factor of the physical differences between males and females.

i meant if you are the shopper.

hey, look, i agree its a factor that can’t be helped, doesn’t make me any less privileged in society though does it?

After the tragedy in Charlottesville I’m convinced we are in the beginnings of a second Holocaust. The GOP won’t be defeated in 2018, but even more radicalized with Trump supporters than even now. Who can stand up to Trump in the elections? The Dems are impotent and if they even get their act together they could be outlawed by an even more authoritarian government by a paranoid president. White supremacists are marching in the streets, and are going to just get stronger in the coming months. Everyone that is not them are going to die. We live in a country where one week feels like one year. By the end of four years the victims of this current are going to be either murdered or worn to complete mental exhaustion. We are reaching the point where this country chooses to be a country that only rich, white, straight, men of God only. If you don’t meet all four of these categories, the white supremacists say you can go fuck yourself. All of this is a lost cause. America is dead forever; all there is left is to scream in despair and pray that sweet death ends your suffering.

Let me get this straight.

You guys think black people can’t have an opinion on this ESPN thing.

That would be incorrect. Please do not put words in my mouth. Unlike some people, I would never say someone can’t have an opinion due to skin color. Nor would I call an opinion lecturing due to the skin color of the opinion holder. Nor would I hold a holier than thou attitude towards someone because of their skin color/gender.

I don’t know how you can pretend you’re not policing people’s opinions. There are plenty of things you’ve gotten offended by here (whether it be about religion, America, or what have you). How would you feel if you felt uncomfortable about something and then someone told you your feelings were unreasonable?

I seem to recall a moment recently when Fanfiltration made light of your father’s death. You weren’t to happy about that were you? And he told you it was nothing to get worked up over, but it wasn’t his place to say that. They were your feelings and you had a right to your own reaction.

Please understand that black people have a right to their own feelings and a right to feel uncomfortable by things that might not make you feel anything. That’s what Frink means when he talks about white priveledge. He’s not being “bigoted” against white people, he’s just saying that maybe, just maybe, it’s possible that people of other races might be offended by things that don’t make you feel anything, and it’s not really your place to call their feelings unreasonable.

I find it funny that Frink’s only response in any race argument is to devalue your opinion because of your skin color rather than address your opinion directly.

Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments. You…

…can’t change history, but you can learn from it. Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson - who’s next, Washington, Jefferson? So foolish! Also…

…the beauty that is being taken out of our cities, towns and parks will be greatly missed and never able to be comparably replaced!

I am not policing people’s opinions, I am giving my own opinions.

There are plenty of things you’ve gotten offended by here (whether it be about religion, America, or what have you). How would you feel if you felt uncomfortable about something and then someone told you your feelings were unreasonable?

I have been told that many times. It doesn’t change this:

Warbler said:

Fact: People sometimes get offended at things that aren’t reasonable to be offended over.

Some complaints are reasonable and some aren’t. I am entitle to have an opinion on what is and is not reasonable and I am entitled to speak that opinion. I am sick and tired of my opinions being devalued due to my race.

I seem to recall a moment recently when Fanfiltration made light of your father’s death. You weren’t to happy about that were you? And he told you it was nothing to get worked up over, but it wasn’t his place to say that. They were your feelings and you had a right to your own reaction.

The thing that really upset me there was not his initial comment, it when I told him I didn’t his comment was funny, he told me to go f___ myself.

Please understand that black people have a right to their own feelings and a right to feel uncomfortable by things that might not make you feel anything.

agreed. But sometimes people feel uncomfortable about ridiculous things, things that really shouldn’t make them uncomfortable. Also some people look for things to feel uncomfortable about. I think some people claim something makes them feel uncomfortable when it actually does not. Some people have agendas.

That’s what Frink means when he talks about white priveledge. He’s not being “bigoted” against white people, he’s just saying that maybe, just maybe, it’s possible that people of other races might be offended by things that don’t make you feel anything,

I agree, it is possible. But just because something doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean I can’t see how it is reasonable that something would make a black person feel uncomfortable. In this case, I am just not seeing it. I think I have the right to say that I am not seeing. I think should be able to give my opinions on these without getting an attitude from Frink and told I am lecturing black people or policing black people’s opinions all because of the color of my skin.

and it’s not really your place to call their feelings unreasonable.

I have the right to my opinion and I have the right to speak it.

The color of your skin matters. If everything were equal, it wouldn’t matter, but it isn’t so it doesn’t.

If the worst thing your skin color has brought you is flak when you criticize black people, consider yourself lucky. Or continue to cling to the white privilege that is so important to you, despite the fact that it doesn’t matter in the slightest.

How dare you silence me like that.

President Trump is an authoritarian white supremacist. He has enboldened nazism unseen since the days of Hitler. They are shouting “JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US” just a few days ago in the streets. One out of three Americans has pledged undying loyalty to him, and it will not be going down anytime soon. You think I am exaggerating when I say we are on the verge of a second Holocaust? Anything you would have deemed impossible only a year ago is now a near-certainty. Donald Trump will still be president in 2018. It’s possible that he could win reelection in 2020 if he can hold onto the rust belt and keep enough people disenfranchised. This is not normal. I was right all along about everything so far.

Things are worse than you realize. The GOP controls all three branches of the federal government. Trump is filling our courts will judges sympathetic to him that will serve for life. The EPA, the DOJ, and Obamacare are being gutted from the inside. He can start a nuclear war whenever he feels like it. There are no real methods to remove him from office unless he somehow dies. He wants what all white supremacists want: to exterminate or subjugate people of color, Jews, LGBTQ persons, and Muslims. He cannot be stopped anymore.
